Introduction

MacKinley-Clark Paving Ltd. was founded by Darren MacKinley and Matt Clark in 2007. Both Matt and Darren are formerly of Peter’s Bros. Construction (Matt 20 years, Darren 15 years). Matt held the position of superintendent for 10 years and Darren’s position was as acting foreman and head roller man. Projects they completed ranged from large highways and airports where quality and tolerances are very strict, to the highest prestige estate driveways and subdivisions in the province.

Since the development of their own company, Matt and Darren have full control of their operations from the plant to the lay down. Their focus is on quality, smoothness, safety and customer satisfaction with customer satisfaction being their number one goal. They have completed many projects including highly visible pathways for regional districts, municipalities and numerous golf courses, as well as subdivision roadways for large developers.

We take great pride in our workmanship and this is evident in our end product. We are able to product the highest quality product at the best pricing. This is due in part to the fact that we have the most up-to-date equipment, our own gravel sources and an asphalt plant, helping to reduce costs. Whenever we take on a project, we do so with a professional, safety-oriented and environmentally-conscious perspective.

Our Operation

Since the takeover, we have developed an onsite lab, and in conjunction with Okanagan Materials Testing Laboratories, our own mix designs which meet the strictest MMCD requirements. Our asphalt aggregate has been tested in our lab as well as Okanagan Materials Testing Laboratories to ensure our materials are in spec to ensure quality and consistency.

Our Production

We are leaders in the industry from our updated asphalt plant with a computerized automation feed system which gives ultimate consistency in our materials to the most modern paving and compaction equipment on the market today. MacKinley-Clark’s paving operations are superior due to our quality programs on aggregate mixing and lay down controls. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows for precision paving surfaces that are far superior to our competitors.
